Decision made: I’m writing a book and frightened about it! After reading 300+ books, I miss actionable insights.
Most books picture how the world should be, and only a few illustrate the tough journey to the top of the mountain.
Reality to me has the following:
1. Teams face multiple traps
2. Teams fall into traps and don’t know
3. Teams get tired of jargon and lack guidance to grow step by step
4. Top management doesn’t empower product teams
That’s what I see. And I cannot accept that as the final state.
I decided to write a book to help teams untrap themselves.
I don’t want to be unjust. Melissa Perri wrote a masterpiece, Escaping the Build Trap. I love the book and can only recommend it. But I miss more of that and less of the perfect world.
My goal isn’t to picture the top of the mountain and talk about the terrific sunset from there.
My goal is to face reality, go to the bottom of the mountain, and help you start a transformational journey.
The book aims to simplify what everyone is complicating. By the end of the read, you will be equipped for change and ready to transform your scenario.
