A battle-tested approach to building trust, clarity, and results
"run 1:1s with business to build partnerships, not collecting requests.
To create alignment, you need to get everyone in the same room."
Solid insight here!
Reminds me of a saying about big decisions happening in smoking zone or coffee shops instead of meeting rooms
The magic happens when we talk things through, openly, and without judgement.
In many organizations, this is easier said than done. The company's leadership should support this approach.
Either way, I agree on what you wrote!
It's never easy.
What I see is about choosing between having a problem later on, or addressing issues fast enough, even when that's uncomfortable.
That's also a very interesting mindset. The problem persists. You can solve it now or later, but it's most often more sensible to do it right away.
+ teach your team how to have these same conversations with their own stakeholders. The alignment breaks down when only the PM knows how to facilitate it.
